~ Resignación ~
¡Soberano Señor Omnipotente,
por quien el Sol espléndido fulgura,
el ave canta, el céfiro murmura,
y vierte sus raudales el torrente!,
oye mi voz: el alma reverente
implora tu piedad en su amargura;
mitiga un tanto mi letal tristura,
mi cruel angustia, mía ansiedad creciente.
Al través de una triste perspectiva,
miro tan sólo un porvenir sombrío,
y más mi pena sin cesar se aviva.
Un mal terrible me atormenta impío...
mas si te place que muriendo viva,
«cúmplase en mí, tu voluntad, Dios mío.»
